Join us for Prose Before Bros’ third international retreat as we journey through the vibrant cities of Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing for an unforgettable experience across China.
From futuristic skylines and immersive dining experiences to centuries-old traditions and cultural landmarks, this retreat is designed for travelers who crave both exploration and meaningful connection. Throughout this journey, we’ll experience the contrast that makes China so captivating — where modern innovation, rich history, creativity, and tradition exist side by side.
We’ll begin in Shanghai, a city known for its striking skyline, luxury shopping, historic neighborhoods, and electric energy. Here, we’ll wander through charming streets lined with cafés and boutiques, experience immersive dining, and take in the beauty of one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
From there, we’ll travel to Chengdu, known for its relaxed atmosphere, tea culture, giant pandas, and thriving creative scene. Between cultural performances, breathtaking bookstores, wellness experiences, and slower moments throughout the city, Chengdu offers a softer and more intimate side of China that invites you to truly slow down and take it all in.
Finally, we’ll end in Beijing, home to some of China’s most iconic landmarks and centuries of history. From walking along the Great Wall of China to gathering for our farewell dinner, Beijing serves as the perfect closing chapter to a journey filled with exploration, connection, and unforgettable memories.

The Experience
Welcome to China, Book Babes!! Upon arrival in Shanghai, private transportation will be waiting at the airport to take you to your luxe hotel for the next couple days. After check-in, take the evening to settle in, freshen up, and relax after your travels. Whether you choose to enjoy the hotel amenities, explore nearby cafés, or simply rest and recharge, tonight is all about easing into the start of the experience.

Shanghai (PVG)
Fly into Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and plan to arrive by 3:00 PM on Day 1. A private transfer will take you directly to your hotel.
Chengdu (CTU)
Fly out of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU). Our trip ends in Chengdu. Fly home from there, or extend your stay and explore more of China.
Visas
US citizens need a visa to enter China. Apply well in advance, requirements and processing times can vary, so we recommend starting the process at least 3 months before departure.
Weather
September brings warm, mild weather to Shanghai and Beijing, with Chengdu slightly cooler and more humid. Light layers recommended as temperatures vary between cities.
Passport Requirements
Passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the return travel date, with at least two blank visa pages.
Accommodations
Single room upgrades are available at an additional cost and go fast on this trip. Book early.
